Nicole (Nicki) Ference
9th Grader at Dwight Englewood School
Hi, I’m Nicki Ference. I am the youngest in a family of five and am very close with my two older brothers. I love fashion, art, and sports. I have been playing sports my entire life, with my favorites being soccer and lacrosse.
I am passionate about “Girls Who Can’t Vote” because creating a space that not only enables girls to learn about issues impacting their lives, but also empowers them to speak out and act is exciting to me. I believe we can be a strong and powerful rising generation of voters. And maybe by the time we actually get to vote, we will be ready to lead.
Charlotte Besnoy
9th Grader at Northern Valley Demarest High School
Hi, I’m Charlotte Besnoy. I have two older brothers and I’m the youngest in my family. I love reading, playing lacrosse, field hockey and boating.
“Girls Who Can’t Vote” matters to me because it creates a community where girls can understand the challenges they face and discover their own power. I want our generation to feel like they can have an impact starting right now. There’s so much we can do beyond voting. We are learning, growing, and finding our voices so that we can make change in the world today and in the future.
